Arches National Park

Visit Arches and discover a landscape of contrasting colors, landforms and textures unlike any other in the world. The park has over 2,000 natural stone arches, in addition to hundreds of soaring pinnacles, massive fins and giant balanced rocks. This red rock wonderland will amaze you with its formations, refresh you with its trails, and inspire you with its sunsets.

Arches is a great place to spend one or two days.  Go to Arches in the evening, arrive at Delicate Arch an hour before sunset and watch the sunset at the arch.  Then hike back in the moonlight or bring flashlights for the hike back.  Often times you can hear the coyotes howl as it gets dark.  The stars are also amazing at the arch! The next day, return to Arches (the entrance fee is good for a week) and do the shorter hikes, Double Arch, Sand Dune arch, Balanced Rock and then finish with Devil's Garden and do as many of the arch hikes as you feel up to.

There are also some great rapelling locations and jeeping locations inside the park.  Remember to bring plenty of water bottles.

Don't miss these locations when visiting the park!
